The speedway store will feature 2,500 items and offer NASCAR fans easy access for tailgate shopping. Located in RV Lot 10, the store will feature perishables including meat, deli, produce, seafood and bakery items, allowing NASCAR fans to buy ingredients to cook on-site, make their own sandwiches, and snack on fresh fruits and vegetables.

NASCAR fans won’t have to travel far for tailgating items including hot dogs and hamburgers, coleslaw and potato salad, buns and chips, and refreshing drinks during the Sept. 24 to 26 race weekend at Dover International Speedway.

Giant Food of Landover, Md., will open a 5,000-square-foot on-site track store featuring 2,500 items for fans attending Friday’s “Sunoco 150” NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, Saturday’s 200-mile NASCAR Nationwide Series, and Sunday’s “AAA 400” NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races in Dover.

The store will operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Sunday, Sept. 26.

Each day at the Giant pop-up store, shoppers may enter raffles to win autographed NASCAR merchandise including driver stand-ups and caps, the opportunity to experience 50 laps in the Monster Bridge, tickets to the Monster Mile Club, trackside tour passes, and more.

“In little more than a week, we’ve been able to build an impressive but temporary Giant store. I’m incredibly proud of the teamwork of all departments who have worked hard to ensure that our store is ready for speedway shoppers,” said Rob Harman, vice president of operations for Giant Food of Landover. “We’re very excited to welcome thousands of NASCAR fans here in Dover and look forward to a successful and exciting race weekend.”

Located in RV Lot 10, the store will feature perishables including meat, deli, produce, seafood and bakery items, allowing NASCAR fans to buy ingredients to cook on-site, make their own sandwiches, and snack on fresh fruits and vegetables. In addition to hundreds of items such as chips, cookies and crackers, fans also will enjoy a selection of prepared foods, health and beauty care items, and beverages to add to the store’s convenience factor.

“We are proud to have the opportunity to partner with Giant, and we’re excited to showcase their brand and legendary customer service to our race fans,” said Mark Rossi, vice president of sales & marketing for Dover Motorsports, Inc. “It’s truly amazing to see a supermarket of this magnitude on our grounds and I know it will be a great addition for fans spending time at the Monster Mile. Whether they’re staying in an RV for the entire race week, or just tailgating for the day, the Giant will be the primary destination for all of their grocery needs.”
