Watch butterflies in flight
Catch butterflies while they’re making their journey south at Monarch Mania from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Killens Pond State Park, 5025 Killens Pond Road, Felton. Besides spotting monarchs out in the wild, guests will tag and release a few of the butterflies raised in the park’s Nature Center. Guests will meet at the Sports Complex area.
Pre-registration is required. Admission is $3.

Best-selling author M.T. Anderson greets readers
Author M.T. Anderson will talk about his work, answer questions and sign books at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Delaware Public Archives, 121 Duke of York St., Dover. Anderson writes for all ages, including the children’s series Pals of Peril, which feature “Whales on Stilts!” “The Game of Sunken Places,” “Jasper Dash and the Flame-Pits of Delaware,” and other titles. His teen and adult books include “Feed,” “Thirsty” and “The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing,” which won the National Book Award.
The appearance is sponsored by Delaware Division of Libraries’ Delaware Center for the Book and Dover Public Library, and is free.
