Health and human service professionals are encouraged to learn about successful strategies that have improved the health and wellbeing of mothers and children in a webcast available from 3 to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27.

The webcast will discuss how improvements in medicine, nursing, social services, nutrition, health education and drinking water have reduced the incidence of disease and supported the growth of healthy families.

The webcast is part of the federal Health Resources and Services Administration's 75th anniversary celebration of Title V of the Social Security Act. This landmark legislation created health and nutritional programs that vastly improved the lives of countless Americans since 1935.
