The Greater Dover Committee recently announced that it is supporting the new Dover Public Library being built on Loockerman Street.

The GDC is a nonprofit organization that was formed in the 1980’s, by CEOs and top business executives in Central Delaware and follow their vision of improving the quality of life for the people of Central Delaware.

“It is important for us that the Greater Dover Committee is supporting the project; it is another positive step forward. The library project will benefit everyone and that is consistent with their vision,” stated Margery Cyr, Library Director.

“We saw this as a way to show the City of Dover support. This is an important improvement for our community and a very positive step forward for the downtown area,” said Shelly Cecchett, Executive Director-Greater Dover Committee.

The library project is moving forward with the utilities having already been relocated.
