Harrington Police have apprehended a local woman two months after obtaining a warrant for her arrest on drug charges.

Carrie A. Richards, 29, of Harrington was implicated following a combined July 13 Harrington/Felton police search of a home on Mechanic Street, said police spokesman Sgt. Earl K. Brode. No one was at the residence at the time, but police found marijuana and drug paraphernalia enabling them to request warrants for Richards and the other occupants.

Police made the arrest after receiving a tip Richards was staying in a Felton-area mobile home.

Richards was charged with maintaining a dwelling for keeping a controlled substance, second-degree conspiracy, possession of a hypodermic needle and syringe without authority, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

She was jailed at the Sussex Correctional Institute, Georgetown, in default of a $6,200 secured bond.
