John W. Tobler, 82, Dover, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010.


Friends of the late John W. Tobler, 82, Dover, may call on the family from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, where remembrance services will follow at 1 p.m.

Mr. Tobler died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.

He was born on Sept. 9, 1928, in Laurel Fort, Va., to the late Joseph and Perlita Puckett Tobler.

He was a member of Dover Elks B.P.O.E. 1903 and the American Legion. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed spending time overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. He worked at Suburban Propane for 35 years.

He is survived by wife, Helen Tobler of Dover; a son, John W. Tobler Jr. of Bridgeville; a daughter, Linda Sue Marker of Hartly; grandchildren, Jaime Tobler Riggin, Amy Marker, Holly Marker, Douglas John Marker Jr.; and great-grand children, James Wooleyhand Jr. and Lia Joi Riggin.

Burial will be at the Lake Side Cemetery, Dover.
