Delaware State Police arrested a Lewes woman June 26 after she allegedly used a ticket purchased with a fraudulent credit card to enter the Lynryd Skynyrd concert at the Delaware State Fair.

April S. Heiser, 27, of the unit block of Arrowhead Road, Lewes, was detained after she presented tickets that had been flagged as being purchased with a fraudulent credit card, said police spokesman Cpl. Bruce Harris.

Police allege Heiser opened a credit card account using another person’s information between June 9 and 20, and had the credit card mailed to her residence address in Lewes. Heiser then spent $2,328 on the card at a number of food restaurants and apparel businesses, Harris said.

Police developed Heiser as the suspect with the help of the credit card issuer’s fraud investigator and Walmart’s loss prevention manager.

Heiser was charged with identity theft, theft $1,500 or greater and unlawful use of credit card. She was released on $9,000 unsecured bond.
