Christine Joyce Diehl, 52, of Dover, died Friday, July 23, 2010.
Friends of the late Christine Joyce Diehl, 52, of Dover, may call on the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 27 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28 at the Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S. State St., Dover.
Mrs. Diehl died at home Friday, July 23, 2010.
Born Sept. 4, 1957, in Chicopee, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Charles Rego and Eufigenia Silva Rego.
Mrs. Diehl and her husband moved to the Dover area in 1983. She was a bookkeeper and tax preparer for Terry Kreiser and Associates in Felton, for about 10 years.
She loved camping, photography, swimming, boating, and walking in the country or on the beach. She was an avid ready and music lover.
Mrs. Diehl was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Dover.
In addition to her father and to her mother, who died March 14, 2010, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Rego, who died May 19, 2010.
Mrs. Diehl is survived by her husband of 30 years, Richard Diehl; a son, Matthew I. Diehl of Dover; a daughter and son-in-law, Nicole L. and Nicholas Laird of Danville, Pa.; a brother, David Rego of Portland, Conn.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary and Larry Van Wert of Chicopee and Laurie Cote, also of Chicopee.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
