Crowds at the Delaware State Fair opening day were light, potentitally due to the unfiltered sunshine, heat and humidity. There was still plenty of going on, much of it inside or in the shade.


Crowds at the Delaware State Fair opening day were light, potentitally due to the unfiltered sunshine, heat and humidity. There was still plenty of going on, much of it inside or in the shade. Part of that was a visit by U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, along with Sen. Tom Carper and Rep. Mike Castle, who visited with students from 4-H, FCCLA and other organizations.
