Darla Koff and Susan Newark have earned Superintendent’s Awards from the Culinary Department of the 2010 Delaware State Fair for their Best of Class entries.


Darla Koff and Susan Newark have earned Superintendent’s Awards from the Culinary Department of the 2010 Delaware State Fair for their Best of Class entries. The Superintendent’s Awards will be presented to the winners by Governor Markell Thursday, July 29, during the governor’s traditional visit to the Fair.

Darla’s White Chocolate Covered Chocolate Truffles left the judges wishing that she had entered a box of her truffles rather than the six pieces required for judging in the candy class. Susan’s Mandarin Orange Vinaigrette, a Best of Class entry in the oils and vinegars category, scored high with the judges for appearance, flavor and creativity. Recipes for these winning entries will be available online at a later date.
