Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying four suspects thought to be responsible for a July 21 shooting that hospitalized a 45-year-old Dover man.

The suspects are described as four black males, one of whom had shoulder length braided hair and another wearing glasses. No further description is currently available, said police spokesman Cpl. Bruce W. Harris.

The shooting occurred at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Yoder Drive, along the side of the roadway, between Pearsons Corner Road and Brittney Lane, Hartly, about five miles west of Dover. The victim was shot in the face and was taken to Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition, Harris said.

Following the shooting, the four suspects fled in an older large model white sedan with a dark colored cloth top to an unknown destination. Yoder Drive is a rural road surrounded by houses that are spread apart by farm fields.

Troop 3 detectives are searching for lead regarding this shooting and are requesting the public’s help.
