Stephen Christopher Smisson, 23, of Dover
Friends of the late Stephen Christopher Smisson, 23, may call on the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at the Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 5, at the Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S. State St.
Mr. Smisson died Monday March 29, 2010, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
Born Nov. 14, 1986, at Dover Air Force Base, he was the son of Charlie T. Smisson Jr. and Carol Hsiao-Huei Smisson.
Mr. Smisson was a senior at the University of Delaware, where he majored in sociology.
He was a big sports fan, especially of the Atlanta Braves and the Washington Redskins and enjoyed playing video games and intramural sports.
Mr. Smisson was a member of the Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship at the University of Delaware and the Dover Air Force Base Chapel.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Smisson is survived by a brother, Burton T. Smisson of Raleigh, N.C.; and a sister, Cassandra P. Smisson of Houston, Texas.
Interment will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
