Camp to promote spring break fitness for kids
The city of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering Spring Break Camp for children in grades 1 to 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, April 5, to Friday, April 9, at the Pitts Center, Dover.

The program offers a variety of exciting activities including games, academic enrichment, gym activities, and arts and crafts.

The activity fee is $70. Registration is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants must bring their own lunch.

T-BALL
Kent Levy Court offering two leagues
The Kent County Levy Court, through its Parks and Recreation Department, is offering two T-Ball Leagues for ages 4 to 6 that both begin Saturday, April 17, and run six weeks.

One league will run at Big Oak County Park, Smyrna, with coach-scheduled practices and games on Saturdays. The other will be held at Brecknock County Park, Camden, with Wednesday evening and Saturday morning practices and games.

The fee is $40 and payment is due by Thursday, April 1.

SoLe soccer for ages 4 to 6 begins April 17
The Kent County Levy Court, through its Parks and Recreation Department, is offering SoLe Soccer for ages 4 to 6 Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, beginning Saturday, April 17, at Brecknock County Park, Camden.

The program fee is $40 per player and payment is due by Thursday, April 1. The program will run for six weeks.

GOLF
Beginner clinics designed for ages 15 and older
The Kent County Levy Court, through its Parks and Recreation Department, is offering Beginner Golf Clinics for ages 15 and older from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, April 6, to May 4, at Garrison’s Lake Golf Course, Smyrna.

Four classes will be held on the range, with the other taking place on the course.

The activity fee is $85.

Registration open for Miss Delaware tournament
The Miss Delaware Scholarship Organization is set to host the Miss Delaware Golf Classic with a shotgun start at noon Monday, June 7, at Maple Dale Country Club, Dover.

There are four ways to participate in the tournament, including playing in it; sponsoring a hole; attending the dinner and auction that follows it; and making a contribution to the auction.

Player registration is $125 for individual players or $500 for a foursome, which includes green fees, cart, unlimited range balls, a gift bag, lunch and dinner, and tournament prizes.

The hole-in-one prize will be a 2010 Mercedes C300W. Prizes also will be given to the top three gross and net, longest drive, and closest to the pin.

The dinner and auction will begin at 6 p.m. The cost is $25 per person, which is included in the players’ fee, and will include rib-eye steak, potato, vegetable, dessert, ice-tea and coffee. A cash bar will be available.
