Harrington Police are asking the public's help in finding a missing man.

Harrington Police are asking the public’s help in finding an area man who has been missing for almost three years.

The relatives of Timothy Schmidt, 20, of Harrington, said he has not been seen since April 4, 2007, said Deputy Police Chief Keith B. Shyers.

“The family has called us, and tried to find out where he is,” Shyers said. “We’ve done all the checking we can.”

Shyers said family is hoping if Schmidt has left the state, someone has kept in contact and will let him know they are concerned about his well-being.

Shyers emphasized Schmidt is not wanted in connection with any criminal matter.

“He’s in our system as a missing adult,” he said. “We just want to be able to find him and know he’s OK.”

Anyone with information on Schmidt’s current whereabouts is asked to call Harrington Police at 398-4493.
