Dover Police are looking for a man who shot another man at the Leone Loockerman Exchange early Friday morning.


Dover Police are searching for a man involved in an early morning shooting at a popular local nightspot.

The incident took place at 12:50 a.m. Feb. 26 at Leone’s Loockerman Exchange, 1 W. Loockerman St., Dover, said police spokesman Lt. Tim Stump.

According to witnesses, two men were involved in a physical altercation inside the bar when one of them pulled a gun, fired a shot, and fled on foot.

The 27-year-old victim received a single gunshot wound to the stomach, Stump said. At last report, he was listed in stable condition at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital.

Police detectives planned to interview the victim the afternoon of Feb. 26, he said.

The suspect is a black man, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket and jeans, Stump said.
