Dover High School

Field Hockey
Record: 3-2, 2-2
The Dover High field hockey team went 1-1 this past week after beating Indian River, 2-1, Sept. 22, and losing to Caesar Rodney, 2-1, Sept. 24. Paige Hennessy scored both Senator goals, and the team returns to action at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, vs. Woodbridge High School.

Boys Soccer
Record: 2-1, 2-0
The Dover High boys soccer team went 1-1 this past week after beating Woodbridge, 7-0, Sept. 22, and losing to Seaford, 2-1, Sept. 24. The goal scorers for the week were: Nick Bolton, 2, Matt Towne, Matt Hogsten, Steve LaRochelle, Andrew Devine, Luis Gomez and Dean Solarino. The Sens next play at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, when they host Laurel High School.

Girls Volleyball
Record: 0-5, 0-3
The Dover High School girls volleyball team went 0-1 this past week after losing to Smyrna, 3-0, Sept. 22. The team will face Caravel Academy in its next game at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at home.

Caesar Rodney High School

Field Hockey
Record: 3-2, 2-1
The Caesar Rodney High field hockey team went 1-1 this past week after losing to Lake Forest, 2-0, Sept. 22, and beating Dover, 1-0, Sept. 24. Corrie Kiger scored the lone Rider goal for the week, and her team will next face Milford High School at home at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.

Boys Soccer
Record: 3-2, 3-1
The Caesar Rodney High boys soccer team went 2-1 this past week after beating Polytech, 4-1, Sept. 22, and Laurel, 7-3, Sept. 24, then losing to Salesianum, 7-1, Sept. 26. Top scorers for the week for the Riders were Kyle Scott with four goals and Jesse Marano, who had three. The Riders return to action at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, vs. Indian River High School.

Girls Volleyball
Record: 8-1, 3-0
The Caesar Rodney High girls volleyball team went 2-0 this past week by defeating Sussex Central, 3-0, Sept. 22, and St. Elizabeth’s, 3-1, Sept. 26. The Lady Riders get back on the court at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, vs. Cape Henlopen High School.

Lake Forest High School

Field Hockey
Record: 1-4-1
The Lake Forest High field hockey team went 1-1-1 this past week after beating Caesar Rodney, 2-0, Sept. 22, tying Woodbridge, 0-0, Sept. 24, and losing in a Turf Bowl game to Brandywine, 3-0, Sept. 27. Emily Voshell and Wilmarie Rodriguez scored the Spartan goals in the lone win, and the team will look for its second win of the year when it faces Polytech at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at home.

Boys Soccer
Record: 2-3, 1-3
The Lake Forest High boys soccer team went 1-1 this past week by beating Sussex Central, 5-1, Sept. 24, and losing to Sussex Tech, 9-0, Sept. 24. Ryan Cramer, Brian Misciwojewski, Daniel Hart, Craig Messick and Jedediah Sullivan scored the Lake goals. Cape Henlopen will travel to play the Spartans at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2.

Girls Volleyball
Record: 0-4, 0-3
The Lake Forest girls volleyball team lost both its matches this past week, falling to Delmar, 3-1, Sept. 22, and Sussex Tech, 3-1, Sept. 24. The Spartans will travel to Campus Community High School to face the Cougars at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.

Polytech High School

Football
Record: 0-3, 0-2
The Polytech football team lost its third game of the season this past week, this time to Cape Henlopen, 20-13, Sept. 25. Sean Forsyth and David Okeke scored the two Panther touchdowns, something the team will look to build on when it faces Seaford High School at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, for its homecoming game.

Field Hockey
Record: 1-2, 1-2
The Polytech field hockey team won its first game of the season this past week when it beat Woodbridge, 1-0, Sept. 22, on a goal from Antwanique Woolford. The Panthers will look to keep their momentum going when they play Lake Forest High School at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, on the road.

Boys Soccer
Record: 1-2, 1-2
The Polytech boys soccer team played in only one game this past week, losing to Caesar Rodney, 4-1, Sept. 22. Rick Emory scored the only goal for the Panthers, who return to action at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at Milford High School.

Girls Volleyball
Record: 3-0, 3-0
The Polytech girls volleyball team extended its winning streak to three games by beating Cape Henlopen, 3-0, Sept. 24. The Lady Panthers will be back at it at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, vs. Smyrna High School.
