Nick E. Carter, 57, of Felton, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009.


    Friends of the late Nick E. Carter, 57, of Felton, may call on the family at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where services will be held at 1 p.m.

    Mr. Carter died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.

    Born April 8, 1952, in Dover, he was the son of the late Charles and Katherine Haughey Carter.

    Mr. Carter was a 1970 graduate of Caesar Rodney High School, and was a self-employed HVAC contractor for more than 30 years.

    His hobbies included fishing, hunting and boating. He was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Kay Mosher, who died March 10, 2006.

    Mr. Carter is survived by his wife of 29 years, Linda Carter; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Christopher S. and Jenna Carter of Phoenix, Ariz., and U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Jason R. Carter of Miami, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Becky Ann and U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Chad Beeler; five grandchildren, Marisa, Trey, Brianna, Kaylee and Capri; his mother-in-law, Eppie Haines; numerous nieces and a nephew; an extended family of friends; and his Bichon, Rocky.

    Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Carter’s name may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963-5800.
