Ronald Francis Santillo, 75, of Dover, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for the late Ronald Francis Santillo, 75, of Dover, celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, in the Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S. State St., Dover.
Mr. Santillo died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born Oct. 30, 1933, in Bridgeport, Pa., he was the son of the late Anthony Santillo and Josephine Giambrone Santillo.
Mr. Santillo was a U.S. Army veteran, having served proudly during the Korean War. Afterward, he owned and operated Bill’s Glass Bicycle Shop in Norristown, Pa.
His hobbies included model trains and building models.
Mr. Santillo is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie Santillo, a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald A. and Michelle Santillo of Dover; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah M. and Sean Mace of Dover; a sister, Elaine Leddy of Royersford, PA; four grandchildren, Becky Fritz and her husband, Jeff of Norristown; Justin Santillo of State College, Pa., and Kyle and Andrew Mace of Dover; and two great-grandchildren Jeanine Fritz and Christina Fritz.
Interment will be held privately.
Funeral arrangements are by the Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Santillo’s name may be made to the Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
