Carl Bruce Faulkner, 69, of Clayton, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009.

    Friends of the late Carl Bruce Faulkner, 69, of Clayton, may call on the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28.

    Mr. Faulkner died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at home.

    Born Dec. 7, 1939, in Dover, he was the son of the late Roland and Mary Faulkner.

    Mr. Faulkner worked as a union carpenter for more than 30 years with Local No. 626. He was the owner of White Oak Subdivision in Clayton, and had worked for Playtex in Dover for 10 years.

    He was a Mason of the Harmony Lodge No. 13 in Smyrna. He enjoyed taking rides in his 1949 Ford and loved watching cowboy movies.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.

    Mr. Faulkner is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bruce Faulkner Jr. of Hartly, and Kenneth and Barbara Faulkner of Milford; two daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Kenny Parramore of Hartly and Karen and Kenny Spencer of Dover; two sisters, Bertha Laurel Moffett and Cardella Julia Rodenhieser; and nine grandchildren.

    Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, west of Dover.

    Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium Inc., Smyrna.
