Gary Wayne Baughan, 73, of Camden, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009.


    Friends of the late Gary Wayne Baughan, 73, of Camden, may call on the family beginning at 5 p.m. Monday, March 2, at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Ave., Dover, where services will be held at 7 p.m.

    Mr. Baughan died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at the Christina Medical Center, Wilmington.

    Born Jan. 10, 1936, in Page, W.Va., he was the son of the late John Baughan and Elowise Arrington Baughan. He was raised by his mother and his stepfather, the late Charles W. Haskett.

    Mr. Baughan was a member of Middletown Moose Lodge and UAW Local 1183 and worked for Chrysler for 30 years. He retired in 1994.

    He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he had served as a military policeman, and of the Army National Guard.

    He enjoyed hunting and fishing, pitching horseshoes, and camping. He was a member of the Duck Neck campground for 36 year. He also loved to joke and laugh and spend time with his African gray parrot, Trudy.

    Mr. Baughan is survived by his wife, Bonnie Baughan; a stepson and his wife, Robert R. Jr. and Bobbie Pearson of Harrington; two daughters, Rita Eggers of Spring Hill, Fla., and Debra Laney of Glen Burnie, Md.; a stepdaughter, Barbara Person of Harrington; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Louise Ann and Ronnie Eads of Bear and Nylene Rader of Oak Hill, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Andrew Eggers of Boca Raton, Fla., and Sarah Eggers of Spring Hill, Fla.; a great-granddaughter, Delecia Surace of Coral Springs, Fla.; two stepgrandsons, Roby and James Pearson of Harrington; and a stepgranddaughter, Lauren Pearson of Harrington.

    Interment will be in the Gracelawn Memorial Park.
