Allen Eugene Warnick, 74, of Dover, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009.


    Friends of the late Allen Eugene Warnick, 74, of Dover, may call on the family between 7 and 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26.

    Mr. Warnick died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009.

    Born April 22, 1934, in Kistler, Pa., he was the son of the late Allen L. and Beryl A. Warnick.

    Mr. Warnick was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, retiring at the rank of master sergeant after 20 years of service. He later worked in automotive for both Wharton and Barnard and most recently for Manlove Automotive.

    He enjoyed fishing, boating, crabbing, gardening and model airplanes.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Malia Hobayan.

    Mr. Warnick is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joan Warnick; a daughter and son-in-law, Rene A. and Val R. Hobayan of Dover; two sons and their wives, Allan M. and Robin L. Warnick of Hartly and Darryl L. and Katherine L. Warnick of Wyoming; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sherry L. Flasher and Janet E. and Clair Flasher Jr., all of Mount Union, Pa.; a brother and sister-in-law, Jay L. and Anne Warnick of Carrollton, Ga.; a sister- and brother-in-law, Helen and Donald King of Shirleysburg, Pa.; and a brother- and sister-in-law, Robert and Eleanor Maskulyak of New Jersey.

    He also is survived by his grandchildren, LéBon C. Hobayan, Dustin W. Hobayan, Jeremy A. Warnick, Jason M. Warnick, Justin C. Warnick, Lyndsey M. Warnick, Airman 1st Class  Nathaniel A. Woodhall, Dwight Shelby Roland, Shawn A. Warnick, Bradley W. Warnick, Angela Rebecca Warnick and Grace S. Warnick; and the family dog, Cutter.

    Interment with full military honors will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
