Donald F. Cordrey Jr., 41, of Middletown, died Monday, July 21, 2008

    Remembrance services for Donald F. Cordrey Jr., 41, of Middletown, were held Saturday, July 26, in the Trader Funeral Home, Dover. Mr. Cordrey died Monday, July 21, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.

    Mr. Cordrey was born April 8, 1967, in Dover, son of Mary “Sue” Harper Cordrey Cain, now of Felton, and the late Donald Cordrey Sr.

    He was a former member of Middletown Volunteer Fire Co. Station 27, and worked as a heavy construction operator for Daisy Construction in Wilmington. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going fishing and working on automobiles.

    In addition to his mother, Mr. Cordrey is survived by his stepfather, Paul “Buddy” Cain of Felton; three sons, Donald F. Cordrey III, Andrew F. Cordrey and Samuel P. Cordrey, all of Middletown; a daughter, Rosalia J. Cordrey, of Middletown; his loving companion of 17 years and mother of his children, Rosalia S. Wanner of Middletown; a sister, Donna Cordrey of Camden; and a nephew, Bryan Cordrey of Camden.

    Memorial donations in Mr. Cordrey’s name may be made to the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, DE 19901, to help defray funeral costs.
