- Posted April 5, 2012 midnight
- Kindergarten students at Lake Forest North Elementary School turned Assistant Principal Laura Lands into a human ice cream sundae Thursday. Students in Cindy Burke's class were able to pour ice cream toppings all over their assistant principal after coming in second place in the school's Pasta for Pennies contest sponsored by Olive Garden. The program raises funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Burke's class raised $222 for the organization. The class that came in first place was awarded an Olive Garden lunch to be delivered to the school. In total, Lake Forest North Elementary raised $3,017 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
