Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Alder Park Apartments in Dover early Sunday morning.
A preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 12:30 a.m., Sunday, two Dover men, ages 20 and 22 years old, were exiting a building in the apartment complex, located at 51 Webbs Lane, when they were approached by several black male suspects, said DSP spokesman Cpl. John Day. One was armed with a handgun.
After one of the victims turned over a bottle of alcohol, the suspects assaulted the 20-year-old victim. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he was treated for a minor head injury. The other victim was not injured.
No further physical or clothing description was available, and no video surveillance footage is available at this time.
