With the holidays approaching, local groups are seeking donations of food, money, clothing, and presents for kids and seniors.

TA Turkey Farm began raising a handful of turkeys in 1979 and giving them to neighbors and friends as Christmas presents. This year, the farm is preparing to sell approximately 3,000 turkeys around Thanksgiving and approximately 600 turkeys for Christmas dinners.

Walmart’s representatives had said the store would be too difficult to find without a sign hanging high in the air on a pole. They also expressed concern people would miss the turn for the store, because drivers would not see the signs as easily.

DART's 12th annual Stuff the Bus Thanksgiving Food Drive started with a stop at the Dover ACME Nov. 10. By noon, the group had the back of the bus piled with goods for the Food Bank of Delaware, and had collected $200 to be used for more groceries.
